Habitat
Humpbacks are found mainly near coast lines and inhabit almost all major oceans, though not in the eastern Mediterranean or the Baltic Sea. They are migratory creatures, spending summers in cooler, high-latitude waters, while mating and calving in more tropical waters, usually near the equator.
Their annual migrations are of up to 25,000km, which is typical for a Humpback but actually making it one of the mammals' best-traveled species.
